Explorer Post 528 - "Learning for Life"
The Washington County Sheriff's Office, in partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, works to teach the young adults of our community the different facets of law enforcement.

Training / Meetings:
Meetings are held every Thursday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Washington County Law Enforcement Center.
The Post attends the Duluth Exploring Conference held in the fall
and the MN Explorers State Conference held in the spring. The
Explorer Post also attends the National Explorers Conference held
every two years. The next national conference will be held in 2012.

How to Join:
- Be between 14 - 21 years of age and completed the eighth grade
- Attend the Explorers 1st Nighter that will be held on September 15, 2011 @
7:00 P.M.
- Fill out the sheriff's office volunteer application (on website and given
out at the 1st Nighter) Applications are only accepted in September
- Complete the learning for life registration (given out at the 1st Nighter)
- Pay fee (you will be notified the amount after you turn in your application)
- Complete and pass an interview process with the Explorers Command and Post
